Aeration Density Converter
Marshmallow density is quoted in three different units depending on who is writing. This converter moves between them and places the result against the bands published in the patent art, so a density written on a check sheet and a density written in a specification can be compared.

The published bands this tool compares against
| Source | Density | What it describes |
|---|---|---|
| EP2175741B1 | 0.10 to 0.6 g/cm³, preferably 0.2 to 0.25 | Aerated marshmallow overall |
| EP2175741B1 | Preferably 0.10 to 0.3 g/cm³ | Extruded route |
| EP2175741B1 | Preferably 0.5 to 0.6 g/cm³ | Deposited route |
| US7329428B2 | About 200 to 500 g per litre | The same range in plant check-sheet units |
| US6180158B1 | 0.1 to 0.4 g/cc at 40 °C to 70 °C | Aerator outlet, density and temperature together |
| Confectionery Production | About 0.2 g/cm³ against 1.3 to 1.5 g/cm³ unaerated | Why aeration control outranks cooker capacity |
Overrun here is the mass-based definition: the unaerated density divided by the aerated density, minus one, expressed as a percentage. Plants that measure overrun by cup weight get the same number from the same two densities, so state which definition a quotation uses.
